There is still time to get assistance with your 2015 income tax return. ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµVolunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University offers tax preparation assistance to low-to-moderate income taxpayers. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµservice is free to students, employees and community members who meet the eligibility requirements.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ VITA site is located in the Schwartz Center and will be open for appointments and walk-ins from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, and Saturday, April 2. Individuals should go to the area outside the Office of the University Registrar on the first floor. ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµVITA site also will be open by appointments only on Tuesdays through April 5 in the Schwartz Center, Room 226.

VITA eligibility requirements include individuals who:

• Require a U.S. citizen or resident alien tax return (VITA can not provide assistance with returns for nonresident aliens).
• Have a total household income of $53,000 or less.
• Have income and earnings that meet the VITA program guidelines. Return preparation is limited for those with debt forgiveness and those with Schedule C, D or E.
