Students and faculty of ����Ӱҵ University at Trumbull’s nursing program began the school year with eight upgraded hospital beds thanks to Trumbull Memorial Hospital. ����Ӱҵdonation marks a significant improvement for the campus nursing lab.

“We are truly appreciative of Trumbull Memorial Hospital’s generous support,” says Kathy Dwinnells, ����Ӱҵ Trumbull nursing program coordinator. “These newer beds more closely resemble what future nurses will encounter in today’s hospitals.”

John Walsh, Trumbull Memorial Hospital’s chief executive officer, says the donation was made possible through the hospital’s equipment upgrade program. 

“Many of ����Ӱҵ Trumbull’s nursing students train at Trumbull Memorial and go on to become our employees,” Walsh says. “If we can provide equipment that enhances their education, then it’s a win-win for both organizations.”

����Ӱҵ Trumbull currently offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. This four-year degree can be fully completed at ����Ӱҵ Trumbull, with students fulfilling their clinical requirements at local healthcare facilities.
