ӰҵӰҵ University Women’s Center will host the ninth annual Mothers, Mentors and Muses Scholarship Fundraiser Reception. Ӱҵevent will take place at the Ӱҵ University Hotel and Conference Center on April 3 from 5-7:30 p.m. Ӱҵkeynote speaker for this year’s event is Stephanie Smith, former senior intelligence service executive in the CIA and current Ӱҵ faculty member.
Ӱҵevent honors women as either a mother – someone who has helped “birth” new ideas and thoughts in others and also has served as an overall nurturing individual; a mentor – an individual who has been both a role model and a trusted counselor to others; or a muse – an individual who has inspired both creativity and academic enthusiasm in others. Over the past six years, more than 400 women have been honored in these respective roles.
