WKSU’s “ ӰҵSound of Ideas” discusses Global Peace Conference in Rwanda

Dr. Neil Cooper, director of the School of Peace and Conflict Studies, and Dr. Amanda Johnson, Director of the Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, were guests on , where they discussed the recent global peace conference in Rwanda.  Ӱҵconference,  organized and sponsored by Ӱҵ University’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies and the Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the University of Rwanda’s Centre for Conflict Management, and Aegis Trust, focused on promoting peace through education.

 

School of Peace and Conflict Studies faculty and students, as well as other members of the Ӱҵ community and local educators attended the conference in Kigali Rwanda, along with delegates from 14 countries and nine U.S. states.  Ӱҵevent ran from July 11 through July 13.
