����Ӱҵ University’s College of the Arts, in collaboration with the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, proudly welcomes back Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award–winning costume designer Paul Tazewell for the 2025–2026 Thomas Schroth Visiting Artist Series. 

����Ӱҵ University and the University of Cincinnati have been awarded a nearly $3 million grant to transform how research institutions across the region collaborate, share expertise and develop the next generation of research leaders.

Senior Nick Brocato and sophomore Tamera Owens were among the 172 undergraduate ����Ӱҵ students who participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) during the summer of 2025. ����Ӱҵ����Ӱҵ University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in the Kent Student Center, Room 306. ����ӰҵBoard will consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business. 

����ӰҵHigher Learning Commission reaffirmed ����Ӱҵ's accreditation, a testament to the university's distinction, impact and integrity.

����Ӱҵ University recently welcomed home a living legacy of its past when Ellen Engleman Conners, former chair of the National Transportation Safety Board and great-granddaughter of ����Ӱҵ’s third president, visited campus for the first time.

Named in honor of regional architect Thomas Schroth, whose global perspective framed creativity as a “window onto human experience,” the series has featured acclaimed guests including Tony Award winner Stephen Schwartz, the Grammy-winning Emerson String Quartet, minimalist icon Richard Tuttle, and fashion visionaries Ruben and Isabel Toledo.

A high-energy rally welcomed ����Ӱҵ's Class of 2029 to the beginning of fall semester, as KSU Kickoff week continued. 

����Ӱҵ University is celebrating another five years of federal funding for its TRIO Student Support Services program that helps propel first-generation college students, students from limited-income backgrounds and students with disabilities to academic success.

Filled-to-the-brim plastic totes, computers, desk lamps, excited students and harried parents – it’s the first day of move-in for ����Ӱҵ University’s 2025 Fall Semester. ����Ӱҵannual arrival of students to their residence halls began on Wednesday, Aug. 13, on the Kent Campus.

����Ӱҵ University President Todd Diacon offered graduates an unconventional yet powerful message during the August 2025 commencement ceremony, weaving together personal experiences, a global perspective and practical wisdom in an address focused on resilience, empathy and maintaining a healthy perspective throughout life.

Two ����Ӱҵ University alumni will be in the spotlight this week as the Pro Football Hall of Fame celebrates its Class of 2025, with Antonio Gates set for enshrinement Saturday and Mary Kay Cabot receiving prestigious recognition for her four decades of sports journalism excellence.

Dedicated in April 2015, ����ӰҵStudent Memorial Garden on Manchester Field was created as a place of reflection and remembrance of all ����Ӱҵ students who have died. 

Orange barrels will soon appear on a three-quarter-mile stretch of Ohio Route 59/East Main Street that runs through ����Ӱҵ University’s Front Campus, marking the start of a three-year construction project to make the thoroughfare safer and more attractive.

����ӰҵSummer Undergraduate Research Experience is a great opportunity for undergraduate researchers such as Ethan Wenk to work directly with a faculty mentor, gain valuable experience to clarify career and educational goals, enhance research skills and gain academic insight.
