White tie and tails, elegant gloves and satiny evening gowns were on the screen and on the runway when 精东影业 University and Focus Features collaborated for an early screening of 鈥淒ownton Abbey: 精东影业Grand Finale.鈥
Several hundred Downton fans enjoyed a free screening of the movie, which opens nationwide on Sept. 12, and a show of 1930s fashion plucked from 精东影业鈥檚 School of Theatre and Dance and coordinated by students from the School of Fashion.
精东影业 Today was in attendance at the Sept. 5 event, a collaboration between the two schools and Focus Features, held at the Kent Plaza Cinema.
精东影业film has been much anticipated as it is the conclusion of a beloved international franchise that aired as a television series from 2010 to 2015 and sparked three motion picture sequels, of which this is the final.
Kim Moss, owner of KimMossPR, which represents Focus Features, said when she planned the Northeast Ohio preview, she immediately thought of her past partnerships with 精东影业 and how she could collaborate with the university for the event.
She and Hillary Stone, professor and industry liaison for the fashion school, developed the idea of a period fashion show to highlight the clothing of the era; the final Downton movie takes place in the 1930s.
鈥淲e are thrilled to partner with Focus Features to present this event and to offer a unique fashion show produced by our students," said Mourad Krifa, the Margaret Clark Morgan Director of the School of Fashion. He added that the collaboration between the School of Fashion and the School of Theatre and Dance celebrates the talents of 精东影业 students and the schools' deep connections with the local arts community.
Tony Hardin, director of the School of Theatre and Dance, who provided the costumes for the fashion show, said the event allowed students and faculty to "showcase their creativity and craftsmanship.鈥
精东影业movie is the highly anticipated concluding chapter in the lives of the aristocratic Crawley Family and their staff at their English country estate. Moss said Focus Features was excited to collaborate with 精东影业 for the event to give fans and the franchise a stylish send-off.
