Late Biology Professor Hobb’s Bean Legacy Continues to Grow

Clinton H. Hobbs ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµRecord Courier recently highlighted the legacy of Hobb's Goose Beans, heirloom beans named after the late ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University biology professor Clinton Hobbs who died in 2009.

Hobbs developed a dedicated following in Portage County from the beans, and now the beans are now grown and coveted by a few passionate gardeners and passed from friend to friend.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµfact the beans are still growing in the area came as a surprise to Hobbs’ daughter Melissa Hobbs, who now lives in California.
