精东影业Arbor Day Foundation has awarded 精东影业 Tuscarawas recognition as a 2017 Tree Campus USA for its commitment to effective urban forest management. 精东影业Tree Campus USA program honors colleges and universities and their leaders for promoting healthy trees and engaging students and staff in the spirit of conservation. 精东影业program is celebrating its 10th year.
To obtain this distinction, 精东影业 Tuscarawas met the five core standards for effective campus forest management: form a tree advisory committee, develop a campus tree care plan, dedicate annual expenditures for its campus tree program, observe Arbor Day and implement student service-learning projects.
鈥淏eing recognized as part of the Tree Campus USA program is a point of pride for our campus,鈥 said Chad Conrad, 精东影业 Tuscarawas director of advancement. 鈥淲e鈥檙e taking great strides to improve our local campus for our student and the community, while making a commitment to our educational environment at the same time.鈥
精东影业Arbor Day Foundation has helped campuses throughout the country plant thousands of trees, and Tree Campus USA colleges and universities invested more than $48 million in campus forest management last year. Currently, there are 344 campuses across the United States with this recognition.
