Performing Arts Center Announces Strategic Shift for 15th Season

As the curtain closes on its 2024–2025 season, the Performing Arts Center at Ӱҵ University at Tuscarawas is proud to announce a bold new strategic direction for its upcoming 15th season. With a refreshed vision and greater flexibility, the Performing Arts Center is moving away from the traditional “season announcement” model in favor of a rolling booking system—a move designed to attract more headlining talent and better serve its loyal audiences.

“For fourteen years, we’ve offered a diverse range of performances scheduled months—sometimes over a year—in advance,” explains David Mitchell, general manager of the Performing Arts Center. “While that model brought variety, it also limited our ability to secure higher-profile artists. This new approach opens the door to even more exciting possibilities.”

A More Dynamic Programming Model

Under the new rolling booking model, performances will be scheduled and announced throughout the year as artist contracts are confirmed. This allows the Performing Arts Center to more nimbly respond to booking opportunities, especially with nationally and internationally known performers who often plan shorter-term tours.

A Call for Community Support

With these exciting changes, the Performing Arts Center emphasizes that membership and financial contributions are more important than ever. Community support will continue to drive its mission of presenting exceptional live performances and educational opportunities. “We are deeply grateful to our Members,” says Mitchell. “Their continued commitment ensures the arts remain a vibrant and essential part of our community. And now the benefits of PAC Membership are even greater as Members will always be the first in line to purchase tickets as we announce future shows.”

Enhanced Benefits for Members and Attendees

As part of this strategic shift, the Performing Arts Center is also unveiling new perks, pricing and programming:

  • Rolling Show Announcements: Ӱҵcommunity can look forward to a steady stream of new show announcements.
  • “Cloud Club” Seating: Select balcony seats will now be available for just $20 for all PAC presented shows, making world-class performances even more accessible.
  • Advance Purchase Opportunity: PAC Members will ALWAYS have priority access to purchase tickets when new shows are announced.
  • Ticket Discounts: Members contributing $250 or more will receive a $5 discount on all tickets for PAC presented shows.
  • Summer Movie Musical Series: A new offering featuring musical films. PAC Members receive access to half-price tickets.

“As we implement this exciting strategic shift, we’re proud to continue building strong partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to the arts and community enrichment,” said Dr. Brad Bielski, dean and chief administrative officer of Ӱҵ University at Tuscarawas. “We are especially pleased to welcome back the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation as our full season sponsor. We’re also incredibly grateful for the continued and increased support of Attorney Richard W. Hinig, First Federal Community Bank, AloNovus and Rodriguez's House of Stones. Their dedication is a testament to the value of the arts in strengthening our community.”
