¾«¶«Ó°Òµ

This winter at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, an art show opened on January 30 in the Taylor Hall Gallery honoring the life and legacy of assistant professor and artist Christopher Darling, who died June 2018. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµretrospective will run until March 19.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµgallery is open Tuesdays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Darling began teaching illustration and digital design at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ in 2014. Outside teaching, he had a thriving freelance career with commissions from Sony, the United Nations and ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµNew Yorker. He received awards and was honored by ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµSociety of Illustrators for both his Cleveland drawings and the Hough Mural. As an artist, he was a champion of social justice. His own murals portrayed themes of diversity and emancipation, often surrounding infant mortality among minorities and immigration. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµspring before he died, he managed an art show at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ featuring the work of incarcerated artists.
