¾«¶«Ó°Òµneed for the CARES Center was developed from the outcomes of the Kent Cares subcommittee of the Great Place Initiative and the outcomes of the Mental Health Steering Committee and workgroup. ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµCARES Center is a place dedicated to supporting students with their unmet basic needs as a centralized touch point. This Center not only connects students to existing resources on campus but also guides students to resources available to them off campus (local, regional, and national).

¾«¶«Ó°Òµfour priority areas of the CARES Center include:

• Financial Empowerment
• Mental Well-being
