Christine Hudak, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, has been accepted as a contributing author to the book (tentatively) titled ӰҵHandbook of Continuing Professional Development for the Health IT Professional, to be published by HIMSS in 2017. Her chapter, “ ӰҵMany Facets of Continuing Education,” will appear in the section on “ ӰҵImportance of Lifelong Learning.”

Ӱҵ University's College of Nursing has been granted 10 years accreditation by for its baccalaureate and master’s degree programs as well as the Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) program and the postgraduate APRN certificate program. Ӱҵaccreditation extends to Dec. 31, 2028.

When planners for the Poynter KSU Media Ethics Workshop finalized the opioid epidemic as this year’s theme, the thought of having a free Narcan training session was at the top of the wish list.
Sustainability improvements and increased weather observations are the focuses of two new grants the Ӱҵ University Airport received this year to purchase one of their top wish-list items and replace another.
Ӱҵairport received a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant of $309,375 for a weather observation system reporting station and a $51,399 grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for new ground equipment.

ӰҵӰҵ University Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
Ӱҵevents of May 4, 1970, placed Ӱҵ University in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Ӱҵ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
