¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University at Salem’s City Center received the 2016 Sunflower Award from the Salem Beautification Committee through the Salem Chamber of Commerce for the third consecutive year. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµaward is given based on the upkeep of the building, including clean windows, neatly maintained entryways and sidewalks, as well as an aesthetically pleasing facade.
¾«¶«Ó°ÒµCity Center building is the former Salem High School and has been part of the city’s history for almost 100 years. It not only houses classrooms and a computer lab for ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ students, but it also accommodates the Salem City Health Department, the Hannah Mullins School of Practical Nursing, the Columbiana County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the Creative Learning Center: ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµStory Book Museum Re-Created.
