Two-way Traffic Restored to Summit Street Construction Area

Two-way traffic has been restored to Summit Street throughout the construction zone. Johnston Drive also is open to motorists.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµroundabout at Ted Boyd/Johnston Drive is operational at this time. A video is available to explain how to navigate a roundabout, whether you are in a car, on a bike or walking.

Work will continue on utilities and other items throughout winter. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµsecond phase of the Summit Street Improvement Project will begin in March and will make improvements to the roadway between Fraternity Circle and Lincoln Street.  ¾«¶«Ó°Òµentire project is expected to be completed by late fall 2017.

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµAcademic Success Center in ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ's University College helped Kellie Miley overcome academic struggles to earn her bachelor's degree in 2016 and a master's degree in 2018.

When Kellie Miley graduated from Rootstown High School in 2008, she is the first to admit she was not ready for college. In high school, she barely cracked a book yet managed a 3.2 grade point average (GPA).

Getting by with little effort changed when she started as a freshman at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University. By the end of the year, Ms. Miley found herself academically dismissed for poor grades.
