精东影业Daily 精东影业r, 精东影业 University鈥檚 student-run daily newspaper, won first place in heading writing and editorial writing in the 2013 Ohio Collegiate Newspaper and Web Design Contest sponsored by the Ohio Newspaper Association and the Ohio News

精东影业Daily 精东影业r, 精东影业 University鈥檚 student-run daily newspaper, won first place in heading writing and editorial writing in the 2013 Ohio Collegiate Newspaper and Web Design Contest sponsored by the Ohio Newspaper Association and the Ohio Newspaper Foundation.

鈥 精东影业headline achieves the ultimate goal: It makes me want to read the story [in the Daily 精东影业r],鈥 says Thomas Fladung, managing editor of  精东影业Plain Dealer and judge of the headline writing category. He says of the first place winner that 鈥淸this is] a good example of a successful hard-news enterprise headline.鈥

精东影业judges in the editorial writing category included Peter Mattiace of  精东影业Courier in Findlay and Steve Keller and Brad Sherman, managing editor and staff writer respectively of  精东影业Telegram in Jackson, Ohio. They wrote that, 鈥 精东影业Daily 精东影业r's editorials are strong, clear and perhaps most importantly, directly aimed at campus issues. Agree or not, there's no question where  精东影业Daily 精东影业r 蝉迟补苍诲蝉.鈥

精东影业Daily 精东影业r competed in Division A of the competition against  精东影业BG News at Bowling Green State University, The Recordat the University of Cincinnati,  精东影业Post at Ohio University and  精东影业Lantern at 精东影业Ohio State University.

精东影业Daily 精东影业r also placed in four additional competition categories.

  • Photojournalism - Third Place

精东影业Ohio Newspaper Association and Ohio Newspapers Foundation host the annual Ohio Collegiate Newspaper and Website Competition to recognize the achievements of Ohio鈥檚 college and university newspapers.
