Students wearing graduation caps and gowns will once again grace the campus as ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University celebrates its newest graduates and marks the return of in-person commencement ceremonies for the first time since December 2019.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Pamela E. Bobst of Rocky River, Ohio, to the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees. She succeeds former Board Chair and Trustee Ralph M. Della Ratta, and she will serve through May 16, 2030.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, in the Timothy D. Eippert Boardroom, Suite 412, at Crawford Hall on the Kent Campus.
Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 19, at 9:50 a.m. All ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University campuses will be participating in this test.
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.
¾«¶«Ó°Òµoutdoor program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Mark Gainer, who currently serves as president of the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Veterans Club, will be the guest speaker.
All are invited to come and pay tribute to America’s veterans. A special invitation is extended to ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.
A reception in the Kent Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the Kent Student Center Kiva.
