At ����Ӱҵ University's Energy and Sustainability Lab, researchers are working on ways to help lower our world's dependence on burning fossil fuels.

Several new and renovated ����Ӱҵ University buildings received Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) recognition in 2016, bringing to 11 the total number of certified buildings on ����Ӱҵ’s campuses. LEED is a rating system that comes from the U.S.

Marcia Lei Zeng, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, served as moderator of a session titled “Linked Data for Data Integration and Curation,” Session 3, on Oct. 14, 2016, at the DCMI International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications in Copenhagen, Denmark.

U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell has announced the designation of the ����Ӱҵ University May 4, 1970, Site as a . ����Ӱҵsite joins more than 2,500 historic places that bear the national distinction.
