Students from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology program presented for the first time at the Ohio Occupational Therapy Association (OOTA) Annual Conference. Two faculty members and three students represented ����Ӱҵ University at Ashtabula’s Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology program on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Trevor Watkins, University Libraries, presented the poster “Black Squirrel GNU/Linux: ����ӰҵWorld’s First Operating System Designed for Libraries, Museums and Archives” at IFLA WLIC 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Transform Libraries, Transform Societies – on Oct. 26, 2018.

Peggy Nzomo and Paul Ferhmann, University Libraries, co-presented “Advocacy in Everyday Life: ����ӰҵRole of Information Literacy Skills” at the European Conference on Information Literacy (ECIL) in Oulu, Finland, on Sept. 27, 2018.

Virginia Dressler, assistant professor, University Libraries, and Cindy Kristof, associate professor, University Libraries, co-authored “ ����ӰҵRight to Be Forgotten and Implications on Digital Collections: A Survey of ARL Member Institutions on Practice and Policy” in the journal College and Research Libraries, Vol. 79, Issue 7 (2018) 972-990.

����ӰҵEnvironmental Science and Design Research Initiative (ESDRI) was excited to be able to offer competitively awarded seed grant funding to research teams in Spring Semester 2018. ESDRI was established in 2017 to support faculty efforts to achieve continued scholarly success in areas of research concerning both natural and built systems.

As the semester comes to a close, ����Ӱҵ University is asking faculty and staff to reduce campus energy consumption over winter break (Dec. 23-Jan. 2). As a result of collective efforts over the 2017 holiday break, the university avoided more than $25,000 in energy costs over nine days. ����Ӱҵgreenhouse gas emissions reduction was equal to taking more than 50 passenger vehicles off the road for one year.
