International Day of Peace Conference

Sponsored by the Read Center for International and Intercultural Education and the School of Peace and Conflict Studies

精东影业International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly. Two decades later, in 2001, the General Assembly unanimously voted to designate the Day as a period of non-violence and cease-fire. 精东影业theme for this year鈥檚 International Day of Peace is 鈥楶eace Education for an Equitable and Sustainable World: Local and Global Perspectives鈥�. As part of our contribution to the Day of Peace, 精东影业 University will be holding a virtual keynote talk and a one-day workshop on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18.

Read Center for International and Intercultural Education serves as an international and intercultural resource for students and faculty of the College of Education, Health and Human Services and to the greater Kent and world community. 精东影业center's mission is to serve as a catalyst for the advancement of international and intercultural education.

    精东影业Office of Global Education Initiatives is responsible for advising international students and scholars, advising students interested in Study Abroad, and overseeing all education-abroad initiatives and international partnerships at 精东影业 University at Stark. As the liaison with the Office of Global Education at the Kent Campus, the Office of Global Initiatives also connects domestic and international students with excellent services and support.

    精东影业School of Peace and Conflict Studies

    精东影业School of Peace and Conflict Studies was created to be interdisciplinary in nature, and to do teaching, research and public service relative to peaceful change, with a teaching focus on learning from experience. In 1994, the name of the Center was changed to the Center for Applied Conflict Management, with a continued emphasis on interdisciplinary learning and applied skills. In 2017 the Center was transformed into the School of Peace and Conflict Studies. Today the School builds upon the legacy of its predecessors, regularly enrolling more than 1,000 students each year in courses that teach applied skills in conflict management and nonviolent change.

    精东影业Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) has a primary mission to provide opportunities, leadership, and support for all faculty to grow in their scholarly and professional endeavors. 精东影业long term aim is to support community members in the process of creating, transforming, and/or maintaining 精东影业 University鈥檚 environments for learning as spaces where all students can succeed.
