Select your preferred program option from the choices below and transform your summer into a rewarding educational experience!

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• To enroll in Cleanroom-Based Semiconductor Fabrication, you MUST simultaneously enroll in either Introduction to Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology OR Semiconductor Manufacturing and Processing; the lecture course is a CO-REQUISITE. 
• You CANNOT take the Cleanroom-Based Semiconductor Fabrication course without one of the lecture courses. 
• You CANNOT take BOTH Introduction to Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology AND Semiconductor Manufacturing and Processing. Only select ONE of these.
• Semiconductor Manufacturing and Processing Course has PREREQUISITES that MUST be met before enrollment.

Because this program is designed as a pathway to employment within the U.S., sponsor requirements set the following eligibility criteria for 2025:

1. Undergraduate and Master鈥檚 level 鈥� Scholarships are available to U.S. citizens or individuals authorized to work in the U.S.
2. Ph.D. level 鈥� Scholarships are open to all applicants, regardless of citizenship.

Applicants who meet the scholarship eligibility criteria will be automatically considered for a scholarship by submitting the

精东影业scholarship can cover up to the standard undergraduate tuition rate, class fees, books, housing and meals. 

Note for graduate students: If the university requires graduate-level fees, you or your department may need to cover the difference. We鈥檒l do everything we can to provide a 100% scholarship and will let you know the final decision regarding scholarship amount once registration is processed.

If you don鈥檛 meet the scholarship eligibility criteria, you鈥檙e still very welcome to participate in the program. Check out our tuition and fees information for the base costs of our courses. 
 

HOUSING

Once you鈥檙e registered, we鈥檒l take care of housing and/or meals for you鈥攚hatever applies to your situation. You won鈥檛 need to fill out any extra forms or applications. We鈥檝e got it covered! Housing assignments and move in details will be provided in early May.

DINING

You can find more information about dining options on the 精东影业 Dining Services website. It鈥檚 a great resource to see what鈥檚 available and when locations are open!

If you鈥檙e receiving a scholarship, you鈥檒l also get meal credits! These will be loaded onto your FlashCard and can be used at Eastway Dining Hall or the DI Hub. Just a heads-up鈥攖hey won鈥檛 work at the Student Center or other nearby restaurants.

Commuter students (with scholarship):

You鈥檒l receive 1 lunch swipe per day. Be sure to use it that same day鈥攊t won鈥檛 carry over. Meal charges begin May 26 and end June 30.

Residential students (with scholarship):

You鈥檒l receive 3 meal swipes per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Each swipe is meant for a specific meal that day, so be sure to use it as planned. Meal charges begin May 23 and end June 30.

PARKING

Each student is responsible for purchasing a parking permit. You can find all the info you need here: kent.edu/parking.

Just a heads-up鈥攃lasses will be held at the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, so be sure to choose a parking pass that works for that lot.

精东影业scholarships can cover tuition, on-campus housing, dining, parking, books and materials, with the chance of a full scholarship covering all expenses. Each student will be informed of their award amount upon review of applications.

Congratulations on your acceptance into the program! We're thrilled to have you join us on this exciting journey. Here are the next steps to get started.

1.Confirm your participation in the summer program by emailing semiconductoredpath@kent.edu.

To complete your participation confirmation, please provide the following information:

• Banner ID#: for KSU students
• @ksu.edu Email Address: for KSU students
• Your home institution for KSU guest students
• Program Option Confirmation: Please confirm the program option you have selected.
• Scholarship Need Confirmation: Indicate any scholarship needs you have (tuition, housing, dining, parking). You do not have to indicate amounts, only the category (ies).
• Concerns and Contact Preference: If you have any concerns or would like someone to discuss your concerns with you, please let us know and provide a preferred contact number.

We must receive your confirmation so we can inform the Financial, Billing and Enrollment Center to apply the scholarship to your account and Residence Life to assign summer housing for you upon submission of your housing application.

Note for guest students: Prior to applying for summer housing, you must apply and be admitted to 精东影业 as a guest/transient student and receive a Banner/KSU ID number and a 精东影业 email address.

2.Apply for Admission to KSU (GUEST STUDENTS ONLY)

Prior to registering, you must apply and be admitted to 精东影业 as a guest student.

Once you receive your Banner ID and KSU email, please send them to semiconductoredpath@kent.edu as soon as you can.

Once you鈥檙e registered, we鈥檒l take care of housing and/or meals for you鈥攚hatever applies to your situation. You won鈥檛 need to fill out any extra forms or applications. We鈥檝e got it covered!

3.Register for Summer Courses (ALL STUDENTS)

Be sure to register for each course that you were accepted and plan to participate in.

For Track 1, you should register for both courses using the following information:

Course Number 22095 - listed via Trumbull Campus 鈥� Undergraduate Course Level - CRN 13116 (Lecture)

Course Number 22095 - listed via Trumbull Campus 鈥� Undergraduate Course Level - CRN 13471 (Lab/Cleanroom)

For Track 2, you should register for both courses using the following CRNs:

Course Number 33095 - listed via Trumbull Campus 鈥� Undergraduate Course Level - CRN 13473 (Lecture) 鈥� listed via Trumbull Campus

Course Number 22095 - listed via Trumbull Campus 鈥� Undergraduate Course Level - CRN 13471 (Lab/Cleanroom)

*Students may choose to take the lecture course without the lab/cleanroom course. You may not take the lab/cleanroom course unless you are also signed up for the lecture.

4.Apply for Summer Parking Permit

5. Get your FLASHCard ASAP (ONLY guest students)

Be sure to get your FLASHCard in advance of the program start on May 27鈥攊t鈥檚 your official student ID and you鈥檒l need it during the program (especially residential students who will need it to eat on campus and enter your building).
