¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University at Stark’s Music Department presents a concert of traditional marches, classical arrangements, symphonic selections and more performed by the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Stark Concert Band on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. A pre-concert performance, featuring the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Stark Flute Ensemble will take place in the Fine Arts Lobby at 6:45 p.m.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµconcert is free and open to the public; however, tickets for open seating are required and may be obtained by calling the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Stark Theatre Box Office at 330-244-3348, Monday through Friday, from 1 to 5 p.m.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµaward-winning ensemble is comprised of nearly 80 performers, including talented college and high school students, faculty and community members. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Stark Concert Band, established in 1985, is under the direction of Conductor Thomas Holliday, a part-time Stark Campus professor who retired from Jackson Local Schools after 27 years of teaching. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµband will be joined by Chris Casale as the announcer for the evening.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµspring program will include selections by several well-known composers, including Who’s Who in Navy Blue by John Philip Sousa, ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµSandpaper Ballet by Leroy Anderson, Divertimento for Band Ira Hearshen and a medley Salute to Bob Hope.
