Governor Appoints Haley Dees to ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Board as New Undergraduate Student Trustee
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Haley Dees of Lisbon, Ohio, to the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees as an undergraduate student trustee. Dees’ two-year term runs through May 16, 2024.
Governor Names Christian Palich to ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Board of Trustees
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Christian Palich of Plain City, Ohio, to the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees. Palich will serve through May 16, 2031. Palich earned his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2009 from ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ.
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing University Operations in Rwanda, Africa
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees approved the establishment and registration of a Community Benefit Company in Rwanda, Africa, during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held May 25. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ has realized an immediate need to establish a private limited company, designated as a not-for-profit Community Benefit Company, that can serve as a strategic starting point for engaging in the African continent’s expanding higher education market.
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµnew degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Regional Campuses. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµprogram will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Board of Trustees Approves Two New Majors to Meet High Demand for Growing Fields
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees approved two new degree programs at its regular quarterly meeting held Wednesday, Dec. 15. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµnew majors – the Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology major within the Bachelor of Science degree and the Emerging Media and Technology major within the Master of Science degree – will help meet the high demand for these types of programs and provide opportunities for students to find careers in these growing fields.
