精东影业 University held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Kent Student Center Kiva. This year鈥檚 guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of 精东影业鈥檚 Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

Community members are invited to attend the inauguration of Todd Diacon as 精东影业 University鈥檚 13th president at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. 精东影业ceremony will be held in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center on the Kent Campus.

College Students to Compete in SkyHack Design Challenge at 精东影业
精东影业 University鈥檚 aviation design challenge, SkyHack, will take place Nov. 1-3. 精东影业event draws college students from around the nation, attracting 120 students from 14 universities in four states in its 2017 inaugural debut. 精东影业鈥檚 College of Aeronautics and Engineering will serve as home base for this year鈥檚 event, which will span across other Kent Campus buildings.

Mitch Landrieu, the New Orleans mayor who oversaw the removal of the city鈥檚 prominent Confederate monuments and helped his city to recover and reemerge from a series of natural disasters, will speak at 精东影业 as part of the university鈥檚 May 4 Speaker Series.
