Museum Receives Grant for Historic Building Energy Audit
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Museum has received an award from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation to fund a comprehensive energy audit of its historic 1928 building, Rockwell Hall. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµaudit will evaluate the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and provide recommendations for sustainable facility improvements.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ's Summer Undergraduate Research Experience gives students, as soon as their first year, opportunities to work alongside university faculty on hands-on research activities.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing Aeronautics and Engineering Schools
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Crawford Hall Earns LEED Silver Certification
An innovative design, energy-efficient systems, water conservation technologies and environmentally responsible construction materials are some of the features that earned Crawford Hall, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University’s newest – and largest – academic building, LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, in the Timothy D. Eippert Boardroom, Suite 412, at Crawford Hall on the Kent Campus.

In April, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Earth Fest was part of a full month of events and activities celebrating Earth Day and Earth Month.

Providing and maintaining a sustainable, bee-friendly environment has earned ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ a Bee Campus USA certification. Our healthy on-campus pollinators not only help the environment but also provide opportunities for learning and community engagement.

Donate Unwanted Items During Move Out
During move-out, students sometimes trash clothes and boxes of food. Throw ‘N’ Go, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University's annual move-out program, is currently underway to keep those useable items out of landfills and in the hands of people who need them.
