Beverly Guy-Sheftall Keynotes Women’s History Month

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Receives Military Friendly School Honor for 13th Year in a Row
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University continues to exemplify leadership in its mission to support students as the Kent Campus is designated as a Military Friendly® School for the 13th consecutive year in a row, earning a Gold award. In addition, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University at Trumbull earned a Silver award.
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµnew degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Regional Campuses.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University President Todd Diacon updated the university community on recent actions regarding the appointment of Sean Broghammer, Ph.D., as ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University’s new vice president for enrollment management.
Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and Marlene M. Wicherski Pledge $2 Million to Support Brain Health Research at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University alumnus Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and his wife, Marlene M. Wicherski, have pledged $2 million to support research programs and students in ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Brain Health Research Institute. ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµBrain Health Research Institute is a recently established, cross-disciplinary institute that focuses on research and education of brain health across the lifespan.
PNC Foundation Awards $75,000 to ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ
¾«¶«Ó°ÒµPNC Foundation has awarded $75,000 to ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University to help ensure success among students who commonly face barriers in college. This grant aligns with PNC’s focus on addressing economic inequality among Black American and low- to moderate-income communities, and it will provide resources for students that will help them complete college and establish a strong foundation on which to build their careers.

¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University is the sole university in the U.S. to receive the prestigious 2022 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA: Association of International Educators. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµhonor recognizes ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ for overall excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of the university and its campuses.
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ and Cleveland State Partner to Shorten Time Students Need for Bachelor’s, Law Degrees
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University has established a new partnership with Cleveland State University’s Cleveland-Marshall College of Law to offer students two pathways to obtain a bachelor’s degree from ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ and a law degree from CSU in six years. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµnew 3+3 program will shorten the length of time typically needed to complete both degrees.
