First-generation Student Finds Purpose
Blaine McCurdy joined ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Rising Scholars program in sixth grade after learning about the program and its opportunities for a college education in Columbiana County. Blaine, who is a first-generation college student, is studying psychology at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Salem.

Crawford Hall Commemorative Beam Signing
A commemorative beam signing event was held in April for Crawford Hall, the new home for the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµbeam was signed by university leadership, the college’s National Advisory Board and building project donors.

Roe Green, MA ’80, To Receive Honorary Degree
¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s Board of Trustees will award Roe Green, MA ’80, a Doctor of Humane Letters honorary degree in recognition of her contributions to the university and her advocacy for the arts in Northeast Ohio, the nation and around the world.

Student Success Priority Exceeds Goal
¾«¶«Ó°ÒµForever Brighter campaign’s Prioritizing Student Success initiative now stands at $142 million, surpassing the $100 million goal set at the campaign’s outset in October 2021. This will enable the university to offer more financial assistance to students in need.
