Honors College helped recent graduate John Comi build a sense of community as well as meet his financial obligations. 

����Ӱҵ University will be closed July 4 to observe Independence Day. No classes are scheduled on the holiday, and university offices are closed. ����Ӱҵuniversity will resume normal operations on July 7.

����Ӱҵ Youth Winds had the unique opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. this spring, giving meaningful performances alongside famous monuments and making lasting connections with renowned musicians.

 Once her degree is complete, junior Honors College nursing student Rylie Lapikas likely won't need to wait long to start her career. Ninety-nine percent of ����Ӱҵ nursing students are employed within six months of graduation.

A Mantua woman who worked at ����Ӱҵ in the Office of the President from 1951 to 1971 recently celebrated her 110th birthday. She recalls her time at ����Ӱҵ and shares a few reflections from her long life.

����Ӱҵ����Ӱҵ University Museum presents its summer exhibition titled “Sparkle: ����ӰҵStyle and Jewelry of Aileen Mehle.” In honor of the ����Ӱҵ University Museum’s 40th anniversary, this exhibition pays tribute to Aileen Mehle, a friend of the museum founders and widely syndicated society columnist. 

A group of school administrators from Brazil recently completed the 10-day Design Innovation Change Agent Workshop at ����Ӱҵ University’s Design Innovation Hub, where they immersed themselves in design innovation techniques as they endeavor to innovate their school system at home.

����Ӱҵ Opera Theatre's spring production featured scenes from a selection of famous operas with themes both natural and supernatural. 

����Ӱҵ����Ӱҵ University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of two new schools – the School of Aeronautics and the School of Engineering – within the College of Aeronautics and Engineering during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held June 25, 2025, on the Kent Campus.

Three friends who attended schools together their entire lives, beginning at ����Ӱҵ’s Child Development Center, have graduated together in ����Ӱҵ’s spring Class of 2025. Now, they are contemplating where their post-graduate lives will take them and how they will maintain their close friendship. 

Eleven ����Ӱҵ University students are taking part in the university’s Brain Health Research Institute Undergraduate Fellows Program for Summer 2025.

����Ӱҵ's College of Aeronautics and Engineering led a fun, immersive field trip for a group of sixth graders from the I Promise School, Akron Public Schools.

����Ӱҵ's fourth annual Juneteenth Jubilee welcomed the community to celebrate the rich history of Black Americans with live music, dance performances, food trucks, vendors and more. 

Fueled by resilience and a hunger to learn, 2019 ����Ӱҵ University graduate Ya’el Courtney has transformed adversity into ambition, carving a path for herself that took her from foster care to post-doctoral scholar at Stanford University.

����Ӱҵ's mascot, Flash the Golden Eagle, joined a group of other well-known local and national mascots to celebrate the 100th birthday of Goodyear's iconic blimps. 

Elisa Grecar and her daughter Maddie McGee made a meaningful memory this May when they graduated together from ����Ӱҵ University – Grecar with a degree in psychology and McGee with a degree in zoology.
