Aeronautics Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµAeronautics Lab provides resources for conducting classroom experiments in Fluid Mechanics and Propulsion.

Air Traffic Control Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµAir Traffic Control Lab supports hands-on, simulated training in all three areas of air traffic control: Tower, Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) and En-Route.

Design Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµDesign Lab facilitates the completion of student projects.  Students will see their ideas become reality as they use this space to complete the final phase of their design processes.

Drone & Wind Tunnel Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµDrone & Wind Tunnel Lab includes resources for building, repairing, and storing remote controlled drones as well as a wind tunnel for testing wing designs.

Flight Simulators

Located in the FedEx Aeronautics Academic Center at the ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Airport, these advanced aviation training devices offer students the ability to learn advanced procedures and flight skills in a controlled environment without compromising fidelity or realism.

Foundry

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµFoundry includes resources for forging, casting, and shaping metal.
 

Hydraulics and Pneumatics Lab

In the Hydraulics and Pneumatics Lab, students learn concepts of fluid dynamics including effects of pressure, flow, viscosity, temperature and transfer of energy.

Industrial Robotics Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµIndustrial Robotics Lab is a recognized FANUC Authorized Certified Education Training Facility ensuring rigorous and industry-relevant training for students enrolled in academic programs as well as industry professionals.

Makerspace Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµMakerspace Lab includes workstations, 3d printers, a laser cutter, 3d scanner, soldering stations, and other equipment to use in the ideation and implementation phases of the design process. This lab is securely designed for work associated with Stratasys industrial 3-D printers.

Materials and Processes Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµMaterials and Processes Lab includes resources for welding, manual machining, forging, casting, materials testing and plastics. ¾«¶«Ó°ÒµM&P lab also has Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining, sand testing, metal spectroscopy and pattern making capabilities.

Mobile Command and Control Center

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµMobile Command and Control Center (MCCC) provides a mobile facility for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) where the pilot is no longer able to observe the aircraft with the naked eye.
 

Networking Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµNetworking Lab provides an environment for computer networking courses, supporting the exploration and instruction of various networking concepts.

Pattern and Fabrication Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµPattern and Fabrication Lab supports students across aeronautics, engineering, and engineering technology programs as they learn about mechanics and structures. Students combine theory with hands-on experiential engagement to enhance learning while they test the efficacy of designs.

Rockwell Automation Advanced Mechatronics Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµRockwell Automation Advanced Mechatronics Lab is a classroom lab that includes logic controllers, analog and digital IO modules, control systems, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), motor controllers, and analog/digital trainers.

Signals and Circuits Lab

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµSignals and Circuits Lab serves as a classroom for electricity/electronics courses, programmable logic controller courses, and mechatronics capstone courses. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµlab houses state-of-the-industry equipment for multiple engineering and engineering technology programs, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
 

Virtual Engine Test Bench

¾«¶«Ó°ÒµWESTT CS/BV Virtual Engine Test Bench, from Price Induction, offers a unique and multidisciplinary tool for illustrating the behavior of a turbofan engine and providing a platform for practical laboratory coursework and instruction.
