��ӰҵCollege of Aeronautics and Engineering expanded its building on the Kent Campus in 2023 to accommodate the ever-increasing number of students enrolling in its programs. ��Ӱҵnew space opened for students for the 2023 Fall Semester and was made possible in part thanks to a gift from the Timken Foundation of Canton. ��Ӱҵbuilding’s new Henry and Louise Timken Atrium (pictured above) was named to honor the couple who were pioneers in flight. ��Ӱҵexpansion added more than 42,000 square feet and includes adaptable classrooms and research labs as well areas for student engagement and hands-on learning.

These facilities are grouped into Learning and Research Hubs.

Bot Bunker

��ӰҵBot Bunker is CAE’s foundation of automation supporting key research areas in humanoid robots, AI systems, and autonomous mechatronic systems for industry and medicine.

��Ӱҵcyber.domain is a collection of three teaching and research laboratories all with an emphasis on the critically important area of cybersecurity engineering and computer engineering technology.

Innovation Way creates a dynamic learning environment with flexible and adaptable teaching and research lab spaces and will provide a truly unique and impactful set of facilities enabling students to understand the entire engineering design and manufacturing enterprise.

Air Traffic Control Lab

��ӰҵAir Traffic Control Lab supports hands-on, simulated training in all three areas of air traffic control: Tower, Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) and En-Route. ��Ӱҵsimulation workstations can be used to create any combination of tower, terminal, and en route controller positions, and provide future air traffic controllers with the look and feel of an actual air traffic control facility.
