At the ����Ӱҵ University Board of Trustees meeting held on Dec. 7, 2016, the Board voted to establish the Brain Health Research Institute, further supporting significant existing research and providing additional support for researchers to collaborate across multiple departments, colleges and campuses.

With more than 50 faculty members involved in brain health research, brain health is one of ����Ӱҵ’s largest areas of research strength and opportunity.

����Ӱҵ����Ӱҵ University website redesign project is set to usher in the spring semester with the launch of and the university’s departmental websites on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017.

Study may reveal positive brain health effects of probiotics

����Ӱҵ University, in partnership with the , recently received an industry-funded grant of $430,000 from (a subsidiary of DSM Nutritional Products) to examine whether taking a probiotic dietary supplement, commonly sold over the counter, can improve the mood and memory of middle-aged and older adults.

Kevin J. Spence, a ����Ӱҵ University higher education administration doctoral student, visited Cienfuegos, Cuba, to help bridge ����Ӱҵ’s College of Education, Health and Human Services’ past to the present.

����ӰҵOhio Small Business Development Center (OSBDC) at ����Ӱҵ University at Tuscarawas was recently awarded the 2016 Ohio SBDC Customer Satisfaction Recognition at the November OSBDC Statewide Conference in Columbus. ����Ӱҵaward is based upon client satisfaction surveys and net provider scores. This is the first year the award was presented.

For ����Ӱҵ University international relations junior Beatrice Cahill-Camden, moving to New York meant more than just experiencing the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple —it meant gaining political experience at the national level.

����Ӱҵ international students compete for the prize of “best dish” at the sixth annual International Cook-off competition. ����Ӱҵfree event is held each November at the end of International Education Week. Teams representing Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Nepal, Saudi Arabia and South Korea participated this year.

����Ӱҵ University Associate Professor Donald Gerbig has been nominated by students for the Distinguished Teaching Award four separate times in his 14 years teaching at ����Ӱҵ University at Tuscarawas. This year, Gerbig is finally a recipient of the award.
