精东影业 University at Stark invites the public to attend open forums that will introduce the four finalists for the Dean and Chief Administrative Officer position at the Stark Campus. As part of the interview process, each candidate鈥檚 presentation will include a discussion of the following:

World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 each year around the world. It has become one of the most recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have passed on, and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.

精东影业 University President Beverly Warren will deliver her first State of the University address on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Kiva. 精东影业 faculty, staff, students and members of the community are invited to attend the event, which is themed 鈥淐elebrating Today, Imagining Tomorrow.鈥� A reception will follow in Room 206, Kent Student Center. Regional Campuses will host watch locations for their campus communities.

More and more active American veterans come home with not only physical wounds from serving their country. One in six soldiers return from Iraq or Afghanistan with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) which affects not only them, but their family members, co-workers and others in their community. Many veterans are helped by knowing they are not alone in this struggle.

精东影业 University at Stark will host the annual Turkey Trot, an Adult 5K and a Kids鈥� 录 Mile Fun Run, on Saturday, Nov. 21. 精东影业events will be held on 精东影业 Stark鈥檚 beautiful, 200-acre campus, located at 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.

精东影业National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) has named Dorvan Byler, a 2015 graduate of the Honors College and the College of Arts and Sciences at 精东影业 University at Stark, as a Portz Scholar for 2015. Byler is a native of Mt. Eaton, Ohio, and received his bachelor鈥檚 degree from the Department of History.

精东影业 University at Stark will kick off its first theatrical event of the 2015-16 season with Almost, Maine by John Cariani on November 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 8 p.m. and on November 15 and 22 at 2:30 p.m. in the 精东影业 Stark Theatre, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for the performance on November 22 at 2:30 p.m. Opening night is Scholarship Night with proceeds benefitting students in 精东影业 Stark theatre and music programs.

精东影业second event in 精东影业 University at Stark鈥檚 25th season of the popular Featured Speakers Series will bring acclaimed journalist Soledad O鈥橞rien to campus. Her presentation, Diversity: On TV, Behind the Scenes and In Our Lives, will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Timken Great Hall, located in 精东影业 Stark鈥檚 Conference Center, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
