KENT STATE GEAUGA PROVIDING OSHA SAFETY TRAINING TO SMALL BUSINESSES IN GEAUGA COUNTY And BEYOND

Thanks to a $75,000 grant from Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Susan Harwood Training Grants Program, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University at Geauga is designing a pilot training program for workers from small businesses in underserved rural communities to help ensure safe and healthy workplaces. As part of the campus’ ongoing commitment to leadership in regional workforce development, the program will be implemented in Geauga County starting in the second quarter of 2023.

From Trash to Treasure: Cleveland Youth to Design, Fabricate Public Space Installation in Former Landfill Through ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Program

In an effort to expand racial and ethnic diversity in the design fields, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ University’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative created Making Our Own Space (MOOS), a design/build program for middle and high school students. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµprogram introduces youth to opportunities in architecture, urban design and landscape architecture.
