Cross-departmental collaborations are what Michael Lehman, the inaugural director of ����Ӱҵ University’s Brain Health Research Institute, envisions for the future. His goal is to unite researchers from a wide range of disciplines at ����Ӱҵ and throughout Northeast Ohio to explore, expand and advance our knowledge of the human brain and how it functions.

Cavs Legion Gaming Club (GC), the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, has teamed up with ����Ӱҵ University Esports in a unique new partnership designed to help grow and strengthen the local gaming community in Northeast Ohio, as well as promote the university’s newly launched collegiate esports program. 

Researchers from the University of Washington and Washington University, along with other collaborators, are seeking answers to those questions. They studied the brains of mice to identify what causes them to stop seeking a reward — in essence, what makes them burn out.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of May 4, 1970, when Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire on ����Ӱҵ University students protesting the U.S. invasion of Cambodia during the Vietnam War, killing four and wounding nine, students and faculty from ����Ӱҵ’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising are bringing attention to current social issues in the new exhibition called “Wearing Justice: Perspectives From KSU Fashion School Faculty and Students” that is on display now at the ����Ӱҵ University Museum.

After years of remote sensing work, Joseph Ortiz, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Geology in the College of Arts and Sciences at ����Ӱҵ University, and his research team recently shared their development of new cost-efficient methodologies that may lead to much safer drinking water for people in Ohio and other municipalities affected by harmful algal blooms (HAB).
