����ӰҵGolden Flashes have made it to the NCAA tournament during a moment when women’s basketball is in the prime spotlight.

As part of Women's History Month, the director of ����Ӱҵ New York City Fashion shares her experience and offers advice that's both practical and empowering for women looking to break into the fashion industry. 

While research has shown the effectiveness of creating a sense of belonging for undergraduate students, the graduate student experience is different, according to three ����Ӱҵ administrators who have authored an article on the topic for Inside Higher Education.

����Ӱҵ����Ӱҵ women’s basketball team will play in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2002. Champions do so much on their own, just look at the stats. But this championship team is supported by its members, its coaches and the ����Ӱҵ Community.

This Friday, meet senior marketing major and ����Ӱҵ University Student Body President, Juliana Buonaiuto. Originally from Long Island, New York, Buonaiuto came to ����Ӱҵ to study marketing because of her love for the industry.  

Dress Up for Downs, a ����Ӱҵ student organization recently held its 8th annual fashion show fundraiser . ����Ӱҵevent, themed "Hollywood Heroes," featured a runway show with designs by ����Ӱҵ fashion design students and raised over $3000 for the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio. 

����Ӱҵ’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is proving beneficial for accounting students and those in need of tax assistance this tax season.

In honor of Pi Day, students, faculty and staff gathered for the Slice of Pi event to sample ice cream and pizza pies from dining locations across campus. 

Students filed into the conference room in the Williamson House on Friday, March 15, to learn about how to negotiate pay and combat the gender wage gap.

����Ӱҵ"Understanding and Combating Antisemitism" discussion was a continuation of the yearlong initiative “Dialogue and Difference: A New Understanding,” designed to engage the ����Ӱҵ community and advance our core values of freedom of expression, respect, and kindness in all we do.

Spring semesters on university campuses are marked by heightened social and political awareness and activities. With ����Ӱҵ University’s roots as a champion of free speech and student activism, President Todd Diacon is reminding the university community of our commitment to freedom of expression as a core value guiding our work.  

One of the many take-aways from the Dialogue and Difference program "Understanding and Combating Islamophobia" was that overcoming Islamophobia and other forms of racism and bigotry may be as simple as remembering the lessons we should have been taught as children. 

����Ӱҵ is one of 48 schools, companies and organizations across the state honored by the Ohio EPA for taking exceptional measures to protect Ohio’s environment and for continued commitment to environmental stewardship.  

����Ӱҵ����Ӱҵ Golden Flashes men's basketball participated in their third consecutive season of MAC championship play. In a hard-fought final game, the Akron Zips narrowly outscored the Golden Flashes to advance to the NCAA championship playoffs. 

Design Innovation is about sharing, stitching together extracurricular, cross-disciplinary and collaborative design innovation projects and experiences and sharing them with the ����Ӱҵ University community. On March 11, the stitching was literal.

Wednesday, March 20th, from 7:30am - 3pm, is the final E-cycle electronics recycling event of the spring. Members of both the campus and city of Kent community can recycle used electronics through Infinite Electronics Recycling, LLC, an R2 certified recycler, where materials are handled in an environmentally and socially responsible way.

 Since 1997, Lashonda Taylor, Ed.D., associate chief of staff for ����Ӱҵ University's President’s Office, had many detours in her college journey but eventually earned her Doctor of Education in Interprofessional Leadership in 2023.
