Professional development is an important part of being a successful member of the professional workforce. Learning new skills is key for students, faculty and staff. University Library has developed the Digital Scholarship Series, a collection of professional development virtual and in-person opportunities focused on the digital landscape that will help professionals and introduce training to areas that may not be covered in regular instruction and curricula.

Future Flash Days provide an opportunity for high school students and their families  - from all over the country and beyond - to experience student life at ����Ӱҵ. 

Leah Benson's childhood dreams were filled with visions of flight. If you asked what creature she'd choose to be, she'd promptly reply, "A bird!" Her parents always encouraged her to pursue her passions, and now she's doing just that as a senior aerospace engineering student at ����Ӱҵ's College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE). On April 8, Northeast Ohio will experience a total solar eclipse, where the moon will completely cover the sun and reveal the corona, the sun’s atmosphere. According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, this will be the first total eclipse in Ohio since 1806, and the next is predicted for 2099. You could say this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the area.

“525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?” These lyrics will fill the E. Turner Stump Theatre this weekend as the run of “Rent” finishes up on Sun, Feb. 25.  Amy Fritsche, associate professor of acting and musical theater and director of “Rent” for ����Ӱҵ, walked alongside students performing in the show from start to finish to ensure their first performance of the Spring semester was a hit.

Film Fest., which takes place Feb. 28-March 3 at Atlas Cinemas Shaker in Cleveland, Ohio. Digital Media Production Associate Professor Scott Hallgren also will moderate a panel discussion at the event.

����Ӱҵ“Leveraging Second Language Skills in the Professional World" panel discussion during I Heart Travel Week reinforced how students can use a second language to propel themselves into and throughout the professional world.

Julian Grimes, president of Black United Students, one of ����Ӱҵ University's oldest student organizations, is working to maintain the legacy of the organization credited for starting the formal observance of February as Black History Month.
